It sucks to reach out to someone, then have them dismiss you. You apologize to a long lost girlfriend, and you get two texts before its back to nothing.
You talk to someone going through a rough time, and you make the effort to hang out with them, but you are ignored.
I am indeed guilty of this but it sucks to have someone seemingly fall off the face of the earth. For me its usually the strain or work and school. Or its just one of those things where people grow apart. I end up feeling guilty and after a while I'll try to reach out to people I had lost contact with. I guess if it isn't meant to be, it won't.
Rejection sucks. Hard. It sucks feeling like you came in 2nd place. But don't chase, and wait for that someone who'll put you first among other suitors. That is what you deserve.

The one thing that always drove us apart is the one thing I wont touch again.
What I had with Liz was amazing.
It is everything I had ever wanted.
Did you know that we never had a fight?
Amazing considering the terms we are on now, right? haha.
this was pointless. the end.

Where Do I Start?
I have a lot of catching up to do. I'm pretty disappointed at all the work I put into my blog about Jim Leyland to see no comments. sad face. Guess that is why I've held off posting. That is some grade A stuff, if you ask me.
I've also been playing (too much) LA Noire. Oops.
The other day I went to Meijer for grocery shopping. When I was in one of the freezers grabbing something, the old lady in her motorized cart told me to move. My reply; "Throw that bitch in reverse." In a playful manner, of course. Couple aisles later, I'm letting a woman go in front of me, and the old diabetic behind me is yelling stuff. Get out of my way, excuse me, you are rude, blah blah blah, ill get a manager. I was laughing and said please get a manager. Everyone else in that are was giving her some weird looks. Anyway, Matt and I are packing up the car, and there she is again, I am rude, nasty, she even got the license plate number on Matt's car. My last words were; God loves all people, even you! hahaha.
That was a really short version with not much editing. Hope you enjoyed.
Vancouver eliminated the sharks in game 5. Lucking bounce off a stanchion, everyone else fell asleep, Kevin Bieksa puts it on net, and bam. Vancouver to the finals. San Jose will cry like any dumb ass fans that the refs missed this icing call that supposedly hit Thing 1 before going all the way down. To me, it hits the glass before it clips him, but who cares? If San Jose wins the face-off and clears it, SJ wins. Instead, they lose it, and Vancouver scores to send it to overtime. This is big boy hockey, we cant be splitting hairs on icing calls. Joe Thornton lost the battle against Ryan Kesler. period.
Guy Boucher made the right call to bring back Rolo, and thus, we have a game 7 in Boston. This can really go either way. Boucher was in a similar situation as Leyland, except with rotating goalies. I'm going with Boston, just because rotating goalies doesn't work, and all year, I've picked against the Bolts only to be proven wrong.
Derrick Rose played like garbage this series. 17-56 the last two games, with 11 turnovers. And he is the MVP this year? awful. Boozer played well in game 4, but came up with 5 points in game 5. awesome. my pick to win it all goes down the drain. pathetic. Funny, Rose puts up all these shots and shoots under 30%, his team is losing, and he still doesn't catch as much shit as Russel Westbrook. Well, except from me. I'm just an incredible genius.
Except when I proclaimed tonight's game 5 "over" at some point in the 4th quarter. Chicago just made a big 3, and were up 77-65 with 3 minutes to go. But Bron and Wade went into beast mode, making huge shots and finishing the Bulls off for good. I'll spare you the gorey details, and give you this;
" At the end, it's all me , " Rose said. " Turnovers, missed shots, fouls. The series is over. "
You're damn skippy it was you.
And now on to a REAL MVP.

I'm with Jim Leyland
Most of what I am going to talk about stems from this article.
Back in April, I went to a Tigers game. It was an exciting game, with the Tigers digging out of a 3 run hole to tie it up (thanks mostly to Alex Avila's 2 solo shots {Alex Avila >>>>> Gerald Laird}), only to lose it in the top of the 9th.
I tried my hand at calling into 97.1 The Ticket to see if I could provide my insight as to the Tigers loss. I questioned how long Jose Valverde was left in, because the trainer had already been out there to check on him and Valverde couldn't pitch a strike if the strike zone was as large as Barry Bonds' head.
But what do I know? I'm not even that great of a baseball fan. I notoriously cheered for the Twins while the Tigers choked on cinnamon back in 2009.
" There’s a legitimate fan that calls that show that has real interest and has some knowledge and makes some sense. There’s a bunch of other people who call it that don’t know (bleep) about what they’re talking about. They just want to hear themselves on the radio and hear themselves talk. " - Jim Leyland
However I do know enough about sports to say that I'm not a better manager than Jim Leyland. I know better than to panic on a baseball team in April/May. There are 162 games in the regular season for each team, and regular season plays goes into October. This is what most fans don't understand. You can have passion, but you don't know more than the manager, GM, or announcers. If you did, well, you'd be involved with a team somewhere, somehow, some way!
" But I don’t listen to talk shows, guys that don’t know (bleep) about baseball. If you’re asking if I listen to those guys, no, I don’t....There’s nothing wrong with talk shows, people’s opinion and having some fun and arguing. But I don’t listen to those people. " - Jim Leyland
So lets get down to brass tax. You're up 2-0 in the bottom of the 9th. Rick Porcello is pitching a 1-hit shutout. He has only thrown 84 pitches, a pretty light workload for a starting pitcher. Do you send him out to close out the game? Or to you send in Valverde? You can't really go wrong either way. Jim Leyland decides to throw out Valverde. He locks it down, Tigers win. End of story, right? Not even close.
Radio morons and idiot fans will cry all day and night about leaving Porcello in. For what reason? So he can throw a complete game 1 hit shutout? Big whoop. Porcello is young and you should probably protect his arm. This is no perfect game, so take him out and make Valverde do what he gets paid to do!
" I was telling him I was good to go and he said, 'No you're not,' and that was that," Porcello said. "It's a losing battle. ... I understand it, though. We needed that win bad. [Valverde] is ready to go and that's why he's there, to close out tight games. " (From ESPN)
“ I don’t get sentimental (about) a chance to have a one-hitter. I’m here to win games. I felt that gave us the best chance to win the game, and we won the game. It could have backfired, and I would have still stuck by my decision. " - Jim Leyland
If it does backfire, then sure, roast Jim Leyland all you want. He deserves it. And he would own up to it. But really, is it HIS fault if Valverde blows the game? Closers are supposed to end games. That is why we have closers! If Porcello botches the game, then Jim Leyland left him in too long. The Tigers won the game, so he made, undoubtedly, the right decision! In the end, its all about winning the game. After all, the Cleveland Indians are not slowing down, you are sitting at .500 and you're 7 games back. Just be glad you won the game at all, avoiding a sweep by the Pirates. THE PITTSBURGH PIRATES!
" Everyone forgets that the Tigers won the game. And if Jose Valverde is not better in the ninth inning than Rick Porcello after eight innings, then we might as well not have a closer. " - Jim Leyland
Hey, if the Tigers miss the playoffs this year, I'm all for firing him. They haven't made the play-offs since 2006, when this happened. Everyone that bashes Magglio forgot about that and the great season he was having last year before he got injured. And everyone forgets that Jim Leyland was the manager for that team. This team has talent, led by Miguel Cabrera, who should have won AL MVP last year. Its tough when only 4 teams make the playoffs, but the Twins are in a really deep hole and Cleveland is a cursed sports town. Its your year to take back the AL Central crown. If it doesn't happen, then you fire Jim Leyland. Until then, forgive this old fart for winning a game.
" I’m glad I did it, and I’ll do it again tonight if we’ve got the same (bleeping) situation, if I think it gives us the best (bleeping) chance to win the (bleeping) game. " - Jim Leyland
Now, would you rather have a manager that second guesses himself and fumbles over big decisions, or a guy that shows confidence in his players? A guy that has been around the game since Barry Bonds was built like a twig and even further beyond that? Do you want a manager who calls into radio shows to ask what those guys think? Should Jim Leyland get a Twitter account or post a question on Facebook as to what he should do? I don't see Tony LaRussa doing that, nor do I see Joe Girardi tweeting about Jorge Posada wetting his nighties and Derek Jeter reading him a bed time story. And last I checked, those guys have rings. You can have Jim Leyland, or Alan Trammell. Choose wisely.

Your Mom ooooooooooooooh!
San Jose is dumb. Californians don't know hockey. And teal is NOT a cool color to be proud of. "Teal" is just an off green color. I'm all for originality, and its why I'm sad to see this. A rip off of Vancouver's Green Men. San Jose fans just ripped off the idea because they can't be creative in response. I'm pretty sure the Green Men have been around since before the play offs, so I will just call BANDWAGON on the San Jose Sharks.
Speaking of bandwagon. These hilarious signs accused Tampa fans of being bandwagoners, among other things. Probably true. Some shock jock from a radio station down in Florida got fans to call the Bruins to complain and the signs got taken down. Pansies. That is not in the spirit of playoff hockey. Which is why I'm in favor of non-traditional hockey markets like Atlanta losing their teams. Although Tampa and Phoenix have been good. Tampa fans did this, which is amazing. Fans are blaming ownership and Bettman for Atlanta's inevitable move to Winnipeg, but no one is putting up a fight for ownership to keep the Thrashers in Atlanta except the fans. Even then, they don't have enough fans to collectively raise money to own the team. haha.
By the way! Vancouver is up 3-1 in the series. San Jose got the first 5 powerplays, but couldnt convert. Vancouver got the next few powerplays, scoring 3 goals on 5 on 3 powerplays. Reffing is ridiculous!
Tampa and Boston game 5 tonight. Two nights after Boston blew a 3 goal lead in a span of 4 minutes. Does Boston bounce back? Who starts in goal for Tampa? Tim Thomas doesn't care, he is just promising a win. Dumbass.
Corey Crawford gets a new contract. Averages 2.6 million a year. Chicago couldn't pony up 2.75 million for Niemi last year. Go figure.
Lebron is becoming a clutch player. Hate to say it. D. Rose is shot 15-42 the last two games. Not very MVP like. Bosh playing like an all star, and not soft. Udonis Haslem must be the difference. Chicago actually won a lot of the statistical battles, But Miami shot 50% from the field and Made more free throws at over 80%
Speaking of MVPs...the MVP of the 08-09 season is..........THIS GUY!
